Case Study of the week 5

The case study of this week was very interesting because dealt with various subjects, such as the right way to market on Facebook, when is it the best time to post or to send emails depending on your geographic zone, and the social media strategy of a brand like Zapos.

The top 3 of the most important lessons learned from the case study are :

- The fact that there is a specific day and time to share contents in order to reach most of the consumers in the most efficient way. This was very impressive for me, I had no idea that such details like that could have such a big importance !

- The difference between like and “Talking about this”, “Talking about this” is the actual number of people who are 'engaged' and interacting with that Facebook Page. The people who actually come back to the page *after* liking the page. This include activities such as comments, likes to a post, shares … by visitors to the page, when a like is simply means that someone click the like button on the FB page.

- The real value of the likes, I learned that only like doesn't mean nothing so it's wrong to measure the success of your campaign just by looking at the likes, for your likes to mean something you have to make sure that you have engaged fans that are giving support to your brand and in order to do that you need to create groups, events ... they need to feel involved and special !

  1. Hi Momen,

I really agree with the fact that "likes" on a pages does not means everything and that you have to produce engaging contents in order to have support from them.
